A Small Change
Over the past several months, I've enjoyed sharing a new leadership note each week.
As I've reflected on the future of this newsletter, I've decided to shift from a weekly format to a monthly one.
This change will allow me to spend more time observing, learning, and refining each note so that every issue provides greater depth, stronger examples, and more practical takeaways.
Thank you for reading, sharing, and being part of this community. I'm excited for what's ahead.

This Months Note-
What Matters is What Lasts.
One of the ideas I appreciate most from Simon Sinek is his distinction between finite and infinite thinking.
Some games have a clear finish line. There is a winner, a loser, and a final score.
Leadership is different.
There is no final championship. No permanent victory. No moment where the work is finished.
Yet many leaders approach leadership as if every challenge is a single game that must be won immediately.
A coach loses a match and questions the entire program.
A manager has a difficult quarter and abandons a long-term strategy.
A parent faces resistance and wonders if their efforts are working.
The problem isn't the setback.
The problem is forgetting that leadership is bigger than the moment.
The best leaders make decisions not only for today's outcome, but for tomorrow's culture or next years culture.
They understand that trust is built over years, not days.
They know that character is developed through repetition, not speeches.
And they recognize that today's disappointment may be part of tomorrow's success.
The question is not:
"Did we win today?"
The better question is:
"Are we building something worth continuing tomorrow?"
When leaders focus only on immediate results, they often sacrifice what matters most.
When leaders focus on what lasts, short-term results become part of a much bigger story.
Your takeaway this month:
• Identify one area where you're focused only on the immediate result.
• Ask yourself: "What outcome am I hoping to create six months from now?"
• Make one decision this month that serves the long-term health of your team, family, organization, or relationship.
Leadership is not measured by a single result.
It is measured by what continues because of your influence.
I plan on making this leadership note last, because it matters.
